An Albanian shepherd. Standing, full length in a landscape, staff in left hand, right hand in a sheep grazing on a line. Part of a series of paintings with Turkish subjects from Turkey to the Netherlands brought by the ambassador Cornelis Calkoen and his cousin Nicholas in 1817 bequeathed to the Department of the Levant trade in Amsterdam.
